• Security & Ownership: Verifying your identity helps confirm that your account and payment methods truly belong to you, especially for frequent or high-value transactions.

Note on Security

We take your privacy seriously. All data you submit is encrypted and securely stored. Identity documents must be uploaded through the Gameflip app or website—we don’t accept emailed documents for security reasons.

• To start, go to Menu → Wallet → Verify in your account

To initiate the verification process, simply log in to your Gameflip account and navigate to Menu > Wallet > Verify.

ID Verification

When uploading your photo ID

• Make sure your ID is valid and unexpired
• No modifications, hole punches, or damage
• Upload photos from both sides clearly, with all corners visible
• The address on the ID should match your billing address
• Use state/country-issued IDs (e.g., driver’s license, national ID)—passports are not accepted
• If your country is Russia, Ukraine, or Belarus, an internal passport may be allowed

When providing a "selfie" photo of your face

• Hold your ID and a piece of paper stating “for Gameflip [today’s date]”
• Frame from shoulders to top of head, without covering your face
• Use front lighting, neutral background
• No hats, sunglasses, or face coverings
• Your face and ID must be fully visible

Credit/Debit Card Verification

To verify a new credit or debit card, you must submit:

1. A selfie holding the card (showing your name + last 4 digits)
2. A photo of the front of the card (name + last 4 digits)
3. A photo of the back of the card (name + last 4 digits)

Note: In the case of virtual cards, please submit a selfie of you holding your phone with the credit/debit on the screen without editing, showing the last 4 digits of the card. In the second and third pictures, please submit screenshots of the app showing the credit card and your Gameflip purchase.

The document verification process usually does not take long. In rare cases, it might take up to 2 business days to complete.

Note: for users under 18 years old, you must - with the consent of your parent/guardian - submit their photos as explained before in this article.
