Updating Your Public Display Name on Gameflip

All your personally identifiable information such as your full real name, email address, phone number, and login username are kept private.  We never share your private information to any other users in the marketplace.  Asking for your private information to conduct transaction on Gameflip is strictly prohibited. 

Your Display Name (not login username) on Gameflip is your public name—it appears on your profile, store page, and listings. It also forms part of your store’s unique URL, so choose carefully.  If you do not specify a display name, one is automatically generated using your first name and your last name initial.

Changing Your Display Name

We recommend that you pick a display name that represents your brand and unique to you.  Once set, there is a cool down period before you can make change again.  The cool down period is necessary to prevent temporary impersonation.

On the Website or Mobile Browser

1. Sign in to your account.
2. Click your profile picture in the top-right corner.
3. Go to Menu > Settings > Account.
4. Under Public Profile, find the Display As field.
5. If you see a pencil icon, click it, type your new name, and then click the green checkmark to save.

Android/iOS App

Tap the menu icon (☰) and open your profile. white pen and paper in the top purple/grey bar;

Important Notes

• After changing your Display Name, there’s a 7-day cooldown before you can update it again. This helps prevent impersonation and confusion within the community.
• Changing your Display Name does not affect your real name used for identity verification.
• Creating a display name that impersonates another user may result in account suspension.
• By following these steps, you can easily update your Display Name while keeping your account safe and compliant with Gameflip’s Code of Conduct.
