You can manage your credit, debit, or other payment methods on Gameflip at any time through your account settings. To update an existing card's details, you must first delete the old card and then add the new card details.
Key Payment Rules & Authorization Holds
- Billing Address Match: Your billing address in Gameflip must match the exact address on file with your card issuer to prevent card declines.
- Temporary Authorization Hold: Adding a new card may trigger a small, temporary authorization charge on your statement to verify validity. This pending hold will automatically drop off.
Card Updating: Saved card details (card number, expiration date) cannot be edited directly; delete the existing card and re-add it with updated information. Step-by-Step Navigation by Device
On Web Browser (Desktop & Mobile Web)
- Log in and go to Menu > Settings > Payment.
- To Add a Card: Click Add new card, enter your card number, expiration date, CVV, and billing address, then click Save. (A temporary authorization charge might appear on your statement—this charge will disappear soon.)
- To Delete a Card: Click the trash-can icon next to the card entry you want to remove.
On the Gameflip Mobile App (iOS & Android)
- Navigate to Menu > Settings > Payment method.
- To Add a Card: Tap Add a new card, input your card information, then tap Save.
- To Delete a Card: Tap the trash-can icon next to the card you wish to remove.
What to Do If Your Card Is Declined
- Check Address Details: Verify that the street address and ZIP code entered match your bank information.
- Check International Restrictions: Ensure your card permits international/online transactions processed in USD.
- Remove and Re-Add: If payment errors persist, delete the card using the trash-can icon, re-enter the card details carefully, and re-save.
- Temporary Charge: If an authorization charge appears on your statement after saving a card, don’t worry—it’s a temporary hold that will be released.
