Gameflip's Seller Score provides buyers with an objective measure of a seller's overall reliability and service quality. Built using statistical modeling, the score reflects performance over time while accounting for recent activity and transaction volume.
How the Seller Score is Calculated
The Seller Score combines two primary performance pillars into a single overall rating:
Seller Rating Score: Measures buyer satisfaction based on direct feedback and ratings from transactions.
Seller Completion Score: Evaluates the likelihood of successful order fulfillment based on transaction history and completion rates.
How to Maintain a High Seller Score
- Fulfill Orders Promptly: Deliver digital or physical items quickly to maintain strong completion confidence.
- Minimize Cancellations: Avoid canceling orders due to stock issues, delayed delivery, or item unavailability.
- Communicate Clearly: Ensure listings accurately describe the items offered and respond to buyer promptly to buyer after the order is placed.
Rating Display Format
Established Sellers: Displayed as a single star with the Seller Score percentage and total completed sales in parentheses (e.g., ★ 95.2% (2.4k)).
Recently New Sellers with too few sales (No Score): Displayed as a grey star with "No rating available" (or N/A).
Important Guidelines for Sellers
Fair & Accurate Scoring: The statistical modeling accounts for transaction volume to protect both high-volume and new sellers, ensuring an isolated bad experience doesn't unfairly ruin a score.
Completed Orders: If a buyer allows an order to auto-complete after the standard review period without leaving explicit feedback, the completed sale still counts positively toward your score..
Disputed Feedback & Order Cancellations: If an invalid negative rating or unfair cancellation occurs during a resolved dispute, sellers can open a ticket with Gameflip Support to request a manual review and rating adjustment.
