How to Start Selling on Gameflip

To protect buyers and comply with marketplace regulations, Gameflip requires sellers to complete basic account verification before listing items. Account requirements scale based on selling frequency and item category. 

Identity & Verification Policy

• Baseline Requirements: All sellers must verify a valid email address and phone number.
• Frequent Selling Requirement: Card verification is a temporary option for casual sellers. High-volume or frequent sellers must complete ID Verification.
• Additional Verification: Depending on what you sell, there will be additional verifications, including but not limited to ID Verification.

*Card verification is only accepted for low-volume, infrequent sales. Active sellers must verify state/government ID. Prepaid credit cards are not accepted.

Step-by-Step Seller Setup Guide 

Step 1: Set Up Your Public Store Profile

When listing your first item, complete your public brand profile:

1. Choose a unique Display Name.
2. Upload a custom Avatar and Header Background.
3. Verify your Email and Phone Number when prompted. 

Step 2: Submit Identity Verification (KYC)

To submit government-issued identification:

• Web Browser: Go to Wallet > Verify > Identity.
• Mobile App (iOS/Android): Navigate to Menu > Wallet > Document Verification > Identity.
• Requirements: Upload three photos. Close-up photos of the front and back of your government-issued ID (Driver's License or State ID). Also, a clear selfie holding the document and a paper note reading "For Gameflip" with the current date.

Step 3: Add a Credit or Debit Card (Casual Selling Option)

To verify via payment card:

• Web Browser / App: Go to Menu > Settings > Payment and add a valid Visa or Mastercard. (Prepaid cards are strictly rejected).

Step 4: Request Category Approval (Services & High-Volume Sellers)

If listing Gigs or Boosting & Coaching services, submit an approval request to Gameflip Support:

1. Explain your sourcing/delivery methods.
2. Outline prior selling experience or provide proof of credentials.

Warning on Revoked Verification: If your ID verification is revoked or you remove your credit/debit card from your account, your selling privileges will be automatically suspended until valid documentation is resubmitted.
