After selling an item on Gameflip, you must verify the listing has been officially sold, coordinate delivery through Gameflip's order chat, and make sure to video-record or take screenshots of you delivering the item in-game.
Important Seller Safety Rules
- Verify Before Delivering: Always check Menu > Listings > Sold to confirm a sale. Never send an item based on profile comments, email notifications, or direct chat messages claiming an item was purchased.
- Record the Trade: Take an uncropped screenshot or video recording showing the trade and the buyer's username.
- Keep Communication On-Platform: Communicate exclusively through Gameflip’s order chat or messaging feature. Moving off-platform voids your seller protection.
Step-by-Step Sale Confirmation and Transfer Workflow
Step 1: Verify the Sale in Your Account
- Log in to Gameflip on the website or app.
- Navigate to Menu > Listings > Sold.
- Locate the listing under your active sales. If the item is not listed under Sold, the sale is not official—do not deliver the item.
- If an order displays a "Sale Pending" status, wait 3–5 minutes for Gameflip's payment system to review and confirm the transaction before proceeding.
Step 2: Coordinate Transfer via Order Chat
- Open the order chat on the specific purchase page.
- Discuss and agree upon in-game trade details (e.g., meeting location, server, or trade link) with the buyer.
- Confirm the buyer's exact username, gamertag, or Steam ID before initiating the trade.
Step 3: Trade In-Game & Record the Trade
- Log in to the game where the item is hosted.
- Complete the item transfer using the agreed-upon method (in-game drop, direct trade, or gift).
- Capture Visual Evidence: Record a video or take an uncropped screenshot displaying:
- The item being transferred.
- The buyer's in-game name/ID matching their Gameflip profile details.
- Successful completion of the trade or drop.
Step 4: Mark as Delivered and Finalize Order
- Return to the Gameflip order page and click "I've delivered the item".
- Help the buyer check their inventory so they can confirm and click "Complete Transaction".
- Once the buyer rates or completes the order, funds are deposited into your Gameflip Wallet.
- Leave a rating for the buyer to help build marketplace trust.
What to Do If the Buyer Doesn't Confirm Delivery
Once you mark an order as delivered, the buyer has 3 days to inspect the item and complete the transaction. If the buyer does not complete or dispute the order within 3 days, the transaction will automatically complete, releasing the funds to your Gameflip Wallet.
By following these steps, you’ll help ensure a smooth and secure transaction — reinforcing trust and efficiency across the Gameflip community.
