When buying or selling codes on Gameflip, it's crucial to be aware of and disclose any region or server restrictions. Here’s a concise guide for both sellers and buyers to navigate these limitations:
For Sellers:
• You must clearly specify any region or server restrictions in the “Region / Server Restriction” field of your listing.
• We strongly recommend that you also include this restriction in the title and description to reduce confusion.
• If a code is region-locked but you don’t declare this restriction, the buyer may be eligible for a refund under the Gameflip Guarantee.
For Buyers:
• Look for the locked globe icon next to the listing price—it indicates the code has a region restriction.
• Hover over the icon (on web) to see which region or server the item is restricted to. If you don’t see the lock icon, the item is considered global.
• Buying a restricted item for a region you are not in may mean the code cannot be redeemed or used as expected.
Disputes and Refunds
• If you purchased a code and later find it cannot be redeemed because you are outside the region stated, you can open a dispute. We will review the listing details and may issue a refund if the restriction was not clearly disclosed.
• If the restriction was properly disclosed in the listing and you still purchased it knowing the region, then the Gameflip Guarantee protection may not apply.
Make sure to check the region/server restriction before you buy or list, so you can avoid redemption issues and ensure a smooth, secure transaction for everyone involved.
