Recording your in-game session while an item is being delivered helps you provide strong visual evidence if there’s ever a delivery dispute. When you ask for help from Gameflip Support, we may request uncropped video footage showing exactly how the item was delivered.
Why you should record
• It demonstrates that you followed the agreed-upon transfer process.
• It protects both you and the buyer from potential scams or misunderstandings.
• The right video helps us review and resolve disputes more quickly.
How to record on your platform
Here are instructions for popular platforms:
Xbox Series
• Press the Guide button, then select View (or similar capture menu).
• Choose Record from now to begin recording, then press Xbox button + X to stop.
PlayStation 5
• Double-tap the Share button to start recording.
• Use the same button again or the options menu to stop recording.
PC (Windows)
• On Windows 10/11, press Win + Alt + R to start/stop recording.
• You can also use third-party tools like Fraps or OBS for advanced options.
Mac
• Open QuickTime Player.
• Choose File > New Screen Recording and click Record.
• Stop the recording when complete and save the file.
Sharing your recording
• Upload your video to a secure platform (like YouTube unlisted or a cloud file link).
• Share the link with Gameflip Support when requested.
• Make sure the entire delivery process is clearly visible—from initiation to completion.
Best practices for video evidence
• Keep the video uncropped and intact with no edits.
• Start the video before you begin the transfer or redemption process.
• Include any important information shown in the listing, such as item name or code.
• Only end the recording once you’ve confirmed the item appears in your inventory or the transfer is complete.
• Keep the original video file secure in case additional evidence is needed.
By following these recording steps and guidelines, you’ll be better prepared to protect your purchase and support your case if a question or dispute arises.
