When one of your listings is marked as “Under Review,” it means that Gameflip is currently verifying the buyer’s payment. This is a standard security measure to protect both buyers and sellers from fraudulent activity. There’s no action required from you at this point — the process is handled automatically by our system.
What Happens During the Review
During this stage, our system and support team perform a comprehensive verification of the buyer’s payment. This includes confirming that:
• The payment method used is valid and authorized.
• The buyer’s information matches their verified account details.
• There are no signs of fraudulent or high-risk activity associated with the purchase.
Once the verification process is complete:
• If the payment is approved, the order will automatically move forward. You will receive a notification when it’s time to deliver or ship the item.
• If the payment is rejected, the transaction will be canceled automatically, and your item will be relisted on the marketplace. This means it will become available again for other buyers to purchase.
Timeline for the Review Process
In most cases, the review process takes only a few hours to complete. However, depending on the payment method or if additional checks are needed, it can take up to 3 days.
These checks are in place to ensure that every transaction is safe and legitimate. Once the review is complete, the transaction will proceed automatically, and you’ll be notified immediately through the Gameflip app or via email.
What You Should Do as a Seller
While your listing is under review:
• Do not deliver the item yet. Wait for confirmation that the payment has been approved and that the transaction is ready to proceed.
• Keep all communication within the Gameflip platform to ensure your protection under the Gameflip Guarantee.
• Avoid canceling or relisting your item until the review process is finished — this ensures a smooth transaction if the payment clears.
• Check your Notifications and Sales page regularly for updates.
