We want to clarify an important aspect of making purchases on Gameflip, especially when it involves using your credit or debit card. To ensure everyone's on the same page, here's a quick rundown on the minimum charge policy:
The $1 Minimum Charge Explained: Whenever you make a purchase using a credit or debit card on Gameflip, the minimum amount that can be charged to your card is $1. This isn't a rule we made up; it's a requirement from our payment partners that handles all of our credit card transactions.
What Happens When Your Purchase Is Less Than $1? Let's say you're making a purchase and decide to use your Cash or Credit Balance, and the remaining amount to be charged to your card is less than $1. In such cases, Gameflip will still charge the $1 minimum to your card. But don't worry!
The excess amount isn't lost. Instead, we deduct it from your Credit or Cash Balance, ensuring your overall payment reflects the actual cost of the purchase. We understand this might raise questions, especially for smaller transactions, but this policy is in place to comply with our payment processor's requirements. Our goal is to keep transactions while adhering to the standards set by our partners.
Example: You have $2 in Credits and $4.70 in Cash Balance, and you purchased an item that costs $7. Instead of charging the remaining $0.30 on your credit card, Gameflip will take $2 in Credits, and $4 in Cash, and charge $1 on your credit card. The remaining $0.70 from your Cash Balance won't be deducted and can be used towards further purchases or withdrawals.
