When a transaction is canceled or rescinded, our system starts the refund process immediately and the funds are returned to the original payment source. However, how long it takes depends on your payment processor — it can take up to 14 business days.
Refund timing details:
- Refunds to prepaid cards may take longer. If you have questions, contact the card issuer.
- During this 14-day period, the charge might appear as "Authorizing" or "Pending" on your statement.
- For canceled transactions, usually the original charge is removed rather than showing a separate refund. In rescinded transactions, you might see an explicit refund entry.
- The refunded money always goes back to the same source you used — e.g. you can’t refund a credit card purchase into your Gameflip wallet.
How refunds are handled based on payment method:
- Credit / Debit Card: Refunds sent back to the card, or the original charge may disappear.
- Alipay / WeChat Pay: Refunds go back to the respective account.
- Gameflip Cash Balance (Sale Proceeds or Add Funds): Any amount used from your cash balance is returned immediately upon cancellation.
- Gameflip Credits Balance: Any credits used are returned right away.
