Want to sell your Counter‑Strike 2 (CS2) skins or items on Gameflip? Great! Here’s everything you need to know—from listing to payout—in a clear, step-by-step guide.
Two Ways to Sell Your Items
You can sell CS2 skins using one of two methods:
• Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Steam Trade: You list the item and use direct trade with the buyer once it’s sold.
• Steam Bot Delivery: You list the item using a bot system. Note: CS2 items are subject to a 7-day Steam trade hold, so bot listings can’t go live until that hold expires.
Important Pre-Sale Checklist
Before listing your item:
• Do not include your Steam ID, Trade URL, or any personal contact info in the public listing.
• Use Gameflip’s “Sold” tab to verify your sale. If you haven’t received a notification but someone claims to have bought it, do not deliver—the sale may not be valid.
• If you see a “Sale Pending” status, wait 3-5 minutes for confirmation before proceeding.
How to Sell CS2 Skins and Items via Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Steam Trade?
First, please take the following important precautions when selling:
- Do NOT post your Steam ID or Steam Trade URL name publicly in your listing or public listing comments. If you wish, you can message the buyer privately in the Sold Item "Message the Buyer" private message section after your item is purchased.
- If your listing has sold, verify it by logging into your Gameflip account and go to Menu > Listings > Sold tab. If someone contacts you saying they bought your item but you did not get a notification, DO NOT send them your item. If you see "Sale Pending", you need to wait for 3-5 minutes to confirm that your listing is actually sold.
To create a CS2 listing, follow the steps outlined below.
- Click the Start Selling button in the top right corner of the header on the website.
-
On the initial Start Selling screen, you will need to choose "In-Game Items" and select CS2.
-
If this is your first time selling CS2 skins or had never connected to Steam, you will need to connect your Steam account. Click the Steam button and log into your Steam account to connect. You will not need to do this again as your Steam account will be tied to your Gameflip account.
-
After you connect your Steam account, you'll be able to view your Steam Inventory within Gameflip and be able to select the item that you want to sell. Any item that is not available to sell will be grayed out. Go ahead and select the item you'd like to sell and click "Select".
- Your item's image and description will automatically be pulled and filled out for you. Under Delivery Method, choose the "I will coordinate with the buyer to transfer." option so that you can send your skin to the buyer (after it's sold) via Steam Trade.
-
From here, you can fill out the price you'd like to sell your item for and the expiration time. Then click "Done" and make your listing publicly available.
-
When your listing is sold, you will be presented with the Buyer's Steam Trade URL for you to deliver the skin.
- Deliver the skin within Steam. We also recommend that you take trade history screenshots (or videos) for your records and send them to the buyer in private chat. Once completed, click "I've delivered the item".
After the buyer confirms that the skin was received within Steam, he/she will complete the transaction on Gameflip and possibly rate you. Once the transaction is complete, the sale proceeds are delivered to your account wallet, and you will be able to rate the buyer back if you wish to.
Benefits & Protection for Sellers
• Gameflip protects your payment from chargebacks or fraud before you send the item.
• Using P2P avoids the Steam trade hold—your item stays in your inventory until sold.
If you prefer using the automatic bot delivery method instead, please refer to our “How to Create a Steam Bot Listing” article for that process.
Congrats on listing your CS2 item—happy selling!
