Create a unique listing with multiple units of the same game item using our in-stock listing feature. This feature was developed for high-volume sellers who want to spend less time clicking “Relist” and more time focusing on their inventory.
This article will teach you everything there is to know about stock-based listings on Gameflip.
The Basics
What is the in-stock listing feature?
Instead of creating ten separate listings for ten identical game items, you can now create a single listing and specify the total number of the same items you have available in your stock. As you sell these game items, your stock count decreases automatically until it hits zero.
What types of items are eligible for stock-based listings?
This feature is currently designed for game items such as skins, pets, materials, in-game currency, and other assets that can be traded through a coordinated transfer.
Why should I use this feature instead of individual listings?
Efficiency, plain and simple. It keeps your shop profile clean, still gives you visibility, and saves you the hassle of listing each item separately when it sells.
How It Works
How do I create a Stock-based Listing?
Click on "I have something to sell" as you normally would.
Select the "Game Item" you'd like to sell.
After you choose the "Game" and "Category", you'll be prompted to add your listing's details.
Under price, you'll find the "Available Quantity" option. Click the "Enable Available Quantity" button and click "Confirm".
- Now, you'll be able to add the number of items you have available in your stock. Note that, if you decide not to create a stock-based listing anymore, you can click "Disable Quantity" to create an individual listing.
Hit Done.
Can I add more or remove stock to an existing listing?
Absolutely. You can click Edit to increase or decrease the number of items available without losing your sales history or customer reviews for that specific item.
Managing Your Sales
What happens when I run out of stock? Once the quantity hits zero, the listing will appear as "Out of Stock." It won’t disappear from your Listings, and the "On Sale" status won't change unless you select otherwise. As soon as you secure more inventory, you can add the available number of items again to the same listing.
Are there different fees for the in-stock listing feature? The fee structure remains the same per item sold. Although stock-based listings appear as a single listing, they'll still generate individual transactions with the same fee structure.
Will buyers see how many items I have left? Yes. An indicator will be visible on the listing, below its price. This often creates a sense of urgency among buyers when they see how many items are available.
Using Stock-based Listings for your most popular items will help you build "social proof." A single listing with 50+ sales looks much more trustworthy to a new buyer than 50 separate listings with 1 sale each.
