There are three methods of game item delivery available, and the seller must clearly state what is offered in the listing:
- Coordinated transfer - This is the most common method where the in-game trading, gifting, or similar mechanism is used for transferring the game items.
- Code redemption - Some game items are part of a bundle and can be redeemed in-game using a code. The seller provides the code as "auto delivery" or "manual delivery", with the latter option taking longer.
- Bot transfer - This method currently applies only to some Steam games that implement Steam trade offers. This method is only recommended for those who are already familiar with Steam trades.

Coordinated transfer
This is the most common method and varies widely depending on each game.
- Start with Communication: First things first, message the Seller using Gameflip's messaging within the transaction. Discuss and agree on the method for transferring the purchased game item.
- Head to the Game: Once you've got a plan, jump into the game where your new item awaits.
- Transfer Time: Follow the agreed-upon method to transfer the game item. Whether it's a direct trade, a gift, or another method, make sure it's something you both are comfortable with.
Code redemption
In this method, you receive a code that can be redeemed within the game. You may receive the code immediately after purchasing (auto delivery) or from the seller at a later time (manual delivery) after making the purchase. Some games may have certain restrictions such as region or character specifics, so be sure to read the seller's notes.
- Head to the Game: Once you got the code, jump into the game, follow the instructions and redeem the code. If possible, copy/paste the code to avoid any typos.
Bot transfer (Steam)
In this method, you must already be comfortable with trading within Steam, especially with various restrictions Steam has on trading, including using Steam Guard.
- Follow instructions: Once purchased, there will be an on-screen instructions that you must follow to retrieve the game item from Steam. The instruction is specific to your game item. Once the item is retrieved, it should appear in your Steam inventory.
- Head to the Game: Jump into the game where your new item awaits.
Buyer's Check
Before you do anything else, make sure you've received the exact game item you purchased. It's all about ensuring you get what was promised. When possible, record the in-game trading using software such as Streamlabs or Fraps or simply take screenshots.
Wrap up and Complete the transaction
- Back to Gameflip: With the game item safely in your possession, return to Gameflip to wrap things up.
- Complete the Transaction: Click on "Complete Transaction" to confirm you've received the game item and that it's exactly as described. This step is crucial as it officially finalizes the transaction.
Seller's Turn: The Seller will then complete the transaction on their end and leave you a rating. Don't forget to rate them back!
Important Reminder
Never hit "Complete Transaction" before you've received the game item. Completing the transaction means you're fully satisfied and accept the game item as is. Once a transaction is finalized, it's a done deal—there are no returns or refunds.
