You are eligible for a refund when the delivered item is either not working or it is different from what was described if the purchase isn't completed.
If this is the case, you'll be covered by our Gameflip Buyer Guarantee.
Never complete a transaction or let the 3-day autocompletion countdown expire if any issues arise during the transaction as this will invalidate the Gameflip Guarantee.
It is important to say that sellers work with buyers to quickly resolve issues, but if a solution isn't reached, we can help.
Conditions for Cancelling a Purchase:
- Immediately After Ordering: If you have second thoughts or mistakenly place an order, you can cancel it within the first 1-2 minutes while the order is still being processed.
- Order Under Review: While we don't recommend canceling during this phase to avoid impacting future purchases, you do have the option if you're unwilling to wait.
- Delayed Delivery: You're entitled to cancel if the seller does not send or ship the item within the specified delivery period, plus an additional 12-hour grace period.
- Before the item is delivered: if the seller did not mark the purchase as shipped, you may ask them to cancel the transaction.
- Violating our guidelines: if the item is prohibited or the seller is violating our guidelines to deliver it, please do not accept the delivery and report the transaction by opening a dispute.

Conditions for Refunding an exchange
After the item is delivered and the exchange is marked as shipped, there are certain conditions that buyers are covered by the Gameflip Guarantee
- The delivered item doesn't match the listing description;
- Item is not working as expected;
- The item was not delivered.
Please do the following if any of the issues listed above arise:
- Contact the Seller and let them know the issue, what happened the means of returning the item, and/or another outcome that you and the seller agree upon.
- Open a dispute: go to the listing in question and press the "I have an issue with the item I received" link. This will create a drop-down section in which you will need to specify the issue you are having, followed by a brief explanation of the situation.
- This will pause the 3-day auto-completion countdown timer and allow Gameflip support to review your case and assist you in the resolution of the transaction. If we need more information to validate your claim, we'll email you asking for specific information to do so. Once we can verify that the item falls under our Gameflip Buyer Guarantee or any other resolution between you and the Seller, we'll authorize the refund of the purchase.
Completed exchange refunds
As an exception to the impossibility of refunding a completed purchase, items that were revoked by their developer might be eligible for refunds.
To open a revoked item claim, contact Gameflip Support so we can start an investigation on this case and proceed with a refund, if feasible.
Also, if you encounter issues with the item after completing the transaction, please try to contact the seller through the chat and if you do not agree on a solution, open a ticket to Gameflip Support so we can analyze your case further.
When buyers are not eligible for a refund
- Buyers that have completed the transaction, agreeing to have received and verified the item.
- Buyer's remorse or any reason other than not receiving an item, receiving an item that isn't as described in the listing, or not working (see our return policy for more info).
- Items damaged during pick-up or shipping or not delivered when the buyer arranges pick-up or shipping of the item (for instance, the buyer arranges freight).
- All escrowed items (Bot trades) that are delivered are not covered under the Gameflip Buyer Guarantee as they're guaranteed to be as described.
- Transactions performed outside of our platform are strictly prohibited by our Terms of Use and will not be covered by our Buyer Protection Guarantee.
