How do I change/edit my Display Name?

Your Display Name on your profile acts as your public identifier on Gameflip and becomes a crucial part of your profile or store’s URL, which visitors might save for future reference. It essentially serves as the face of your brand. However, it's worth noting that display names may not always be unique. By default, upon registration, your display name is set to your first name followed by the initial of your last name, but you have the option to change it right away via Menu > Settings.

Choosing a Display Name should be done thoughtfully, considering it represents your presence on Gameflip. After a change, there's a mandatory 7-day cooling-off period before you can modify it again. This measure is in place to discourage any attempts at short-term impersonation and maintain the integrity of the community. It’s important to remember that attempting to impersonate another user on purpose can lead to your account being suspended.

For those looking to refresh their profile’s look, it's reassuring to know that changing your avatar or cover/background image is not subject to this cooling-off period and can be done freely at any time.

Web/Mobile Web

Go to Menu > Settings > Account tab

Under Public Profile, you can see the field Display As.  If the pencil icon is available, you can make the change by clicking it. Once you change the name to your liking, click on the green checkmark to save.

Adrouid/iOS APP

• Tap on the 3 white bars to open the Gameflip app menu, then tap your name. After you have done so, tap on the white pen and paper in the top purple/grey bar; 
• Tap on the field named Display As. You may change it to the Display Name you want;

• To save the change, tap the Update button at the bottom of the screen.
